What causes noise problems?
The degree of absorption depends on the material the sound waves meet. Smooth, hard materials reflect much of the sound, while rough, soft materials absorb it. Hard, dense materials such as glass and concrete mainly absorb lower frequencies, while higher frequencies are reflected into the room. Softer materials also absorb higher frequencies and therefore more sound.
However, hard materials do not always have a negative effect on room acoustics. Used appropriately, they can also contribute to good acoustics. Special acoustic diffusers can reduce troublesome reverberation by directing reflected sound rather than absorbing it, helping reduce disturbance.

How does this wallcovering work, and what improves the room's acoustics? It consists of several components: an aluminium frame containing an acoustic panel. The panel comprises printed fabric bonded to acoustic material made from 90% cotton fibres from recycled jeans. A standard panel has an air gap behind the acoustic material for extra absorption. The premium version has an additional layer of acoustic material at the rear.

If the area is too large for 1 piece, the wallcovering can be divided into several sections to achieve the desired result.
