Cookie Policy (EU)
Last updated on 12 August 2026
This cookie policy explains which cookies and similar technologies BlinkOut BV uses on www.blinkout.nl uses. This policy is intended for visitors from the European Economic Area and Switzerland.
1. What are cookies and similar technologies?
A cookie is a small text file that a website can store on your device through your browser. Similar technologies include local browser storage. These technologies may be needed to remember a preference or, with your consent, used to measure website use.
2. What choices do you have?
We use necessary and functional storage for features you activate and to remember your cookie choice. Google Analytics only loads if you accept analytics cookies. We do not place advertising cookies through this website.
You can accept or decline analytics cookies, or change your choice later. Declining them does not affect the normal operation of the website.
3. BlinkOut cookies and local storage
| Name | Type | Purpose | Retention period |
|---|---|---|---|
| blinkout-cookie-consent | Necessary cookie | Remembers your functional and analytics cookie choices. | 1 year |
| blinkout-chat | Functional local storage | Remembers the session reference and whether the BlinkOut AI Guide is open or closed. | Until you clear your browser data |
4. Google Analytics
With your consent, we use Google Analytics to understand broadly how people visit the website and where we can improve it. This loads Google's measurement code and may place the following analytics cookies:
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Standard retention period |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga | Distinguishes visitors from one another. | 2 years | |
| _ga_<container-id> | Stores the status of an analytics session. | 2 years |
Browsers may enforce shorter retention periods. More information is available in the Google Analytics cookie information and the Google privacy policy.
5. Google Maps
Our contact page includes a Google Maps map. The map only connects to Google after you click the Load map button. Google may then process your IP address, device information and use of the map, and use cookies or similar technologies. We do not save this choice. On your next visit to the page, the map will be blocked again until you activate it.
6. Withdrawing consent and deleting data
Use the Cookie settings at the bottom left of the website to review your choice at any time. When you disable analytics cookies, we will no longer load Google Analytics on subsequent visits. You can delete cookies already stored on your device through your browser's privacy or cookie settings. You can also block cookies there, although some optional features may then work less effectively.
7. Changes to this policy
We update this policy when the website or the services it uses change. The date at the top shows when this page was last updated.
