Front panels & control panels

A specification that suits your work.

A front panel brings information and controls together. Button positions, display cut-outs and readable symbols need to work as a whole. We work from your technical drawing and coordinate material, printing, engraving and fixing accordingly.

A complete control front

Bring scales, symbols and colour coding together around the controls. The example shows knobs and a display in an aluminium front. We coordinate the graphic layout with component positions and the intended viewing direction.

A custom panel with cut-outs

A front starts with the engineering drawing: outer contour, switch openings and fixing holes must work together. The photograph shows a printed panel with a central opening and four mounting holes, ready to fit to an enclosure.

Material, finish and installation.

Sheet material and surface
Material, thickness and finish follow the enclosure and intended use. Aluminium can be printed or engraved; suitable other metals and engraving laminates offer further options.
Legends and controls
Text, units, markings and colour coding serve the function. Print or engraving is positioned around knobs, displays and connectors, with contrast suited to the final viewing distance.
Dimensions and tolerances
Supply a dimensionally accurate drawing with reference points, holes and cut-outs. We check engineering dimensions and graphic artwork separately before combining them.
From first article to production run
For a series, an initial panel allows fit, appearance and readability to be assessed. After approval, drawing, artwork and revision remain together for consistent repeat production.

Machine controls

A clear control front helps users find buttons and settings. Logical grouping, readable legends and suitable markings make the panel part of the operation of your machine.

Equipment and instruments

Identify displays, connections and measurement functions in a custom instrument enclosure. A made-to-measure panel brings technical layout and presentation together, including for small production runs.

Installations and servicing

A replacement front can give an existing enclosure a new layout or appearance. We work from a checked drawing and consider installation, access and component replacement.

Frequently asked questions

Do you make the electronics too?

This page covers the panel, artwork and machining. Electronics and functional machine controls remain with the technical client.

Can an existing front panel be replaced?

Yes, following measurement and assessment. A technical drawing or sample panel helps reproduce the interfaces correctly.

Can it include colours and logos?

Yes. Options depend on material and technique. We match colour, contrast and detail to the application.

Are small production runs possible?

We can discuss one-off panels and production runs. Machining and preparation determine the practical approach.

Can you help with the artwork?

Yes. Supply your logo, text and images. We adapt the artwork to the application and send it for review before production.

What determines the price?

Size, quantities, material, finish and any installation determine the price. Your requirements and conditions of use help us prepare a focused proposal.

What should I send for a proposal?

Send dimensions, quantities, preferred specification and photos of the location or surface. Include the service period and any technical requirements.
