Nameplates & rating plates

A specification that suits your work.

A rating plate needs to remain legible where it is used. We select material and technique for wear, cleaning, environment and the information required. Aluminium, stainless steel and engraving laminates offer different possibilities. BlinkOut helps with a clear layout and fixings suited to the object.

Machine and rating plates

A permanent position for model details, serial numbers and other machine information. The photograph shows a metal plate on a pump. We create a readable layout; you supply the checked technical data.

Name and brand plates

A raised metal emblem adds a distinctive brand detail to a product. Brushed metal, recessed colour and a custom outline can come together in one design. Relief, finish and fixing are specified for the product.

Identification with a code

Link equipment and assets to your records using a barcode, QR code or unique number. Position, contrast and code size must suit the surface and scanner. Sequential numbering from a data file is also possible.

Material, finish and installation.

Material for the environment
Aluminium, stainless steel and engraving laminates each have their own appearance and processing options. We discuss moisture, outdoor exposure, cleaning products and handling before selecting a material and marking technique.
Print, engraving and colour
Full-colour printing accommodates logos and colour coding. Engraving can be filled with colour. Printing into anodised aluminium is an option for information incorporated into the surface.
Appropriate fixing
A flat plate can have holes, screws, rivets or a suitable adhesive backing. The surface, available space and need for removal determine the appropriate fixing.
Data and production runs
One nameplate or a series with unique numbers: layout and data are recorded in a proof file. Codes are also assessed for readability at their final size.

Frequently asked questions

Can each plate carry a different number?

Yes. Supply a clear list. We agree column names, numbering structure, checks and quantities beforehand.

What is the difference between engraving and printing?

Engraving marks into or through a surface. Printing adds an image or colour through a different material construction. Use and detail determine the choice.

Can rating plates be used outdoors?

With suitable material and processing, yes. Tell us about weather exposure, cleaning and any chemicals.

Do you supply mandatory machine data?

We handle layout and production. The client determines and checks technical and any mandatory information before production.

Can you help with the artwork?

Yes. Supply your logo, text and images. We adapt the artwork to the application and send it for review before production.

What determines the price?

Size, quantities, material, finish and any installation determine the price. Your requirements and conditions of use help us prepare a focused proposal.

What should I send for a proposal?

Send dimensions, quantities, preferred specification and photos of the location or surface. Include the service period and any technical requirements.
