What is the average lifespan of built-up letters (warranty)?
The average lifespan cannot be determined precisely, as location also plays a part. If your premises are close to the coast, the letters are more likely to discolour after a number of years than they would further inland.
We provide a 3-month warranty on materials and installation. Some components carry a much longer warranty, up to 10 years. Contact a member of our sales team for further information.
How much energy do built-up letters use?
We used to make all our built-up letters with neon, but have used LED lighting for many years now, saving around 90% in energy. How much does illuminated signage actually cost to run? Here is an example based on built-up letters 60 cm high and 250 cm long.
Hours switched on per day: 10. Cost per kWh: 0.23 euros (source: Consumentenbond). Annual energy cost: 10 x 0.2 x 0.23 x 365 = 167.90 euros.
