Mondi Breda: a box van in distinctive brand colours

A white box van takes on Mondi’s recognisable identity

Full-colour graphics on Mondi Breda’s Iveco Daily combine orange brand panels, photography and clear lettering across the box body.

The story behind this project

Taking the identity onto the road

After the office interior had been updated in Mondi’s style, Mondi Breda asked for its white leased box van to receive the same recognisable identity. The initial request was for logos on the sides and possibly the rear. BlinkOut developed two proposals, and Mondi selected the more extensive option with large full-colour graphics.

The result is an Iveco Daily 40C18 whose box body becomes a prominent brand surface. Orange panels, the white logo and photographic artwork form a coordinated design, while the cab retains its original white colour.

Designing at the scale of a box body

A box van offers considerable space for graphics. A clear composition makes the most of it: a recognisable logo, a strong colour panel and photography that works at a distance. On the Mondi vehicle, the graphics cover the large side panels, with the rear continuing the same identity.

The layout was developed around the Iveco’s actual dimensions. Door divisions, edges and existing fittings determine where text and images can be placed. This allows the shape of the body to support the design while keeping important information clear of interruptions.

Printed film matched to the vehicle

Printed vehicle film brings photography, brand colours and text together on a single surface. Large, relatively flat box-body panels require a different material and installation approach from tightly curved bodywork. The substrate and intended application therefore guide the selection.

Preparation matters too. For this project, it was agreed that the van would be kept dry and warm indoors before installation. A clean, dry surface and suitable application temperature support careful installation and attention to the edges.

Recognition from the sides to the rear

The project photographs show both sides and the rear. Large graphics make the vehicle recognisable, while the rear doors provide space for the logo and message. The same identity is visible from different directions, on the road and when arriving at a customer’s premises.
