Groenhuysen Bloemschevaert: a corridor with a homely character

Brickwork and floral wall graphics give an everyday route its own atmosphere.

Printed wall film with brickwork and floral motifs brings a recognisable, homely appearance to Groenhuysen Bloemschevaert.

The story behind this project

Character for an everyday route

A corridor is a space people use every day. At Groenhuysen Bloemschevaert in Roosendaal, wall graphics give that route a different character. Brickwork, flowers and green accents introduce a homely visual setting within the existing building.

The design responds to the doors and windows already in place. The print and architecture work together without changing the practical layout of the corridor.

Wall film designed for the setting

The graphics use printed wall vinyl with a matt protective laminate. The print creates the image while the matt finish limits reflections, which is relevant where windows and lighting illuminate the wall from several directions.

Scale matters as much as image choice. Brickwork and floral details need to relate to the real frames and the height of the space. This helps the graphics feel like part of the interior.

Careful finishing around existing features

Edges and transitions are noticeable in a continuous wall design. The print is therefore positioned and applied carefully around the existing building elements. Surface preparation and neat finishing beside frames contribute to the overall result.

Small details matter too: a continuous brick line, an accurately cut opening or the position of a floral motif in relation to a window.

A different finish, a familiar setting

Recognisable forms and a balanced composition give the corridor its own character. Wall graphics can change the atmosphere of an existing space while retaining its practical layout.
