Materials & specification

Where is the sustainability benefit?

Wallcoverings offer a choice between recycled paper and textile fibres or polyester without PVC. The benefit differs by material. Adhesive, ink, coatings and wall condition also affect care and removal.

Print
Your photography, illustrations, patterns and brand colours.
Substrate
Smooth, dry and clean. Existing coatings need assessment.
Finish
Non-woven drops or seamless fabric, with suitable adhesive and care.

Materials & specification

The material makes the difference.

From recycled fibres to PVC-free fabrics: explore the properties that make these materials a considered choice.

Positive material properties at a glance. Each percentage relates to the named substrate or material layer.

Recycled flat non-woven

Composition
An Eco Green base consists of 100% recycled paper and textile fibres and weighs around 150 g/m². This percentage concerns the fibre base before printing and installation.
Suitable use
For photo walls in dry offices, shops and receptions. We specify the exact printable version; the percentage does not apply to every non-woven.

Impact

Substrate

Recycled paper and textile fibres

100% recycled materialFibre base, before printing and adhesive

  • Entirely recycled fibre base

Paper and textile fibres gain a new use as wallcovering.

  • No PVC or plasticisers

The specified Eco Green fibre base contains no PVC or plasticisers.

  • Planned to fit

A considered strip layout helps limit cutting waste.

PVC-free non-woven with an acrylic coating

Composition
ProVlies mat combines an FSC-certified fibre carrier with an acrylic coating. The coating supports the printed surface.
Suitable use
For matt wall graphics installed in drops. A suitable wall and adhesive help prevent damage and premature replacement.

Impact

Substrate

Non-woven substrate with acrylic coating

  • PVC-free wallcovering

A matt wall finish without PVC.

  • FSC-certified fibre substrate

Certification covers the sourcing and chain of custody of the fibre substrate.

  • Planned strip layout

Printing and strips are planned for your wall.

Seamless polyester textile wallcovering

Composition
WalltexPro is PVC-free and made of 100% polyester, with water-based ink. It is available up to 290 cm high and 12 m long in one piece.
Suitable use
For large matt wall graphics. A glued installation needs a different waste route from loose polyester; fabric reuse is generally not the starting point.

Impact

Substrate

Polyester

  • Single-material substrate

One fibre type, without a coating or laminate of a different material.

  • PVC-free

An alternative with no PVC in the fabric.

  • Water-based ink

The selected print option uses water-based ink.

  • Large seamless image

Up to 290 cm high and 12 m long, with artwork cropped to fit the wall.

From material selection to its next destination.

Design for a longer life

Timeless imagery and a considered crop reduce replacement after a short campaign. Plan drops and trimming margins to limit unnecessary offcuts.

Prepare the wall properly

A clean, level and dry substrate prevents poor adhesion. Follow material care instructions and repair local damage where possible.

Consider the glued construction

Paper or polyester fibres alone do not determine the waste route. Ink, adhesive and wall residue may limit material recycling. Agree disposal when removing it.

Frequently asked questions

What makes this wallcovering a considered material choice?

You can choose a base made from recycled paper and textile fibres or PVC-free wallcovering. This gives your wall its own character, with material properties that suit your sustainability priorities.

Which option uses recycled feedstock?

The Eco Green base non-woven described consists of 100% recycled paper and textile fibres. These fibres gain a new purpose as wall decoration. The percentage applies to the fibre base, before printing and adhesive.

Which PVC-free options are available?

Options include matt non-woven wallcovering and seamless polyester wallcovering. Non-woven creates a wall graphic in drops; polyester offers possibilities for a large, continuous image in one piece. PVC-free does not automatically mean plastic-free.

Can I use my own photograph, pattern or brand identity?

Yes. From a calming landscape to a recognisable brand pattern, we translate your design into a wall-sized image. We coordinate the crop and colours with the room, lighting and furniture.

Which spaces suit this wall decoration?

Consider dry offices, shops, showrooms and reception areas. A photographic wall can create calm, tell a story or make a brand recognisable. We select the version to suit the surface and daily use.

How can I enjoy my wall graphic for longer?

A well-prepared wall and a timeless design provide a strong foundation. A suitable layout, the right adhesive and care following material guidance help keep the decoration looking good and reduce premature replacement.

How do you consider material use and processing?

We plan the graphic to fit the wall and reduce unnecessary offcuts. We also consider the complete fibre, print and adhesive construction, helping you identify suitable processing when the wallcovering is eventually replaced.
