Materials & specification
Where is the sustainability benefit?
The sustainable starting point is a PVC-free textile base and a purposeful application to existing glass. A considered colour and print help the result stay relevant to the space.
- Material
- Woven polyester window textile with a self-adhesive layer. Veilish and Squid offer a PVC-free alternative to traditional PVC window decoration.
- Appearance
- Plain shades, textile texture and a bespoke print. A sample on your glass shows how colour, screening and daylight work together.
- Installation
- On the inside of suitable glazing. We assess glass type, solar exposure, colour and print; the combination is particularly relevant for insulating glass.

Frequently asked questions
What makes this a more sustainable window decoration option?
Veilish and Squid offer a PVC-free textile base. We combine that material choice with bespoke application to existing glass and a design that stays relevant to your space.
Can you print my logo or pattern on the textile?
Yes, from a subtle brand mark to a decorative pattern. We choose the appropriate print version and use a proof or sample to assess its appearance on your glazing.
Will daylight still come through?
Semi-transparent fabric lets light through and softens the appearance of glass. Colour, print and coverage determine the final effect.
How do I choose between Veilish and Squid?
We compare samples at your window. Texture, colour, printing requirements and screening needs guide the choice. Both brands offer opportunities for a personal interior.
Can you cover only part of a window?
Certainly. Choose an eye-level band, a bespoke contour or a complete pane. This balances decoration with views through the glass.
Is it suitable for my insulating glass?
We assess each version individually. Glass type, solar exposure, colour and printing all matter. Dark or printed Squid versions in particular require further assessment on insulating glass.
Can you handle design and installation?
Yes. Send window photographs, dimensions and your brief. BlinkOut helps with material samples, a suitable design and careful installation, including care advice.
