Your brand, part of the space
Sustainable cut-out letters
Your brand in a material with a story. From wood and cardboard to recycled plastic, PET felt and acrylic: bespoke letters and logos for interiors with character.
Sustainable interiors & decoration
A strong brand starts with a considered letter.
A warm wooden logo behind the desk, soft felt letters on the wall or a striking recycled plastic pattern. For cut-out lettering, the material defines both the shape and its story. BlinkOut helps with design, material selection and careful installation.

Materials & specification
Where is the sustainability benefit?
Choose what suits your sustainability priorities: renewable wood, paper-based cardboard or feedstocks with a previous life. We connect that choice with the appearance, service life and next destination of your lettering.
- Shape & dimensions
- Individual letters, numbers, logos and cut-outs. We select thickness and minimum stroke width for each material and design.
- Finishing
- Natural texture, print, veneer, colour, gloss or satin. A material sample helps you choose.
- Installation
- Directly on the wall, on stand-offs or on a backboard. Surface, weight and removal determine the fixings.

Plywood
- Composition
- Poplar veneer layers with a visible layered edge. The 9 mm version described uses PEFC-certified wood.
- Suitable use
- For warm wall logos, lettering and interior accents. The natural grain can remain visible or become part of a printed design.
Let the wood show
Choose a clear finish to emphasise the grain and layered edge. A coloured face or print can provide a strong contrast.
From logo to composition
Combine individual letters with a brand mark or larger contour. Stand-offs add an attractive shadow on the wall.

Wood-based
A renewable feedstock with a natural appearance.
Characterful edges

Re-board
- Composition
- Lightweight cardboard with a strong sandwich core, in 10 or 16 mm. A paper-based choice for individual letters and cut-out shapes.
- Suitable use
- For temporary retail displays and lightweight indoor lettering. We check fire requirements and fixings against the location.
Design with depth
The light sandwich construction gives letters volume. Consider a shop theme, product launch or temporary indoor event.
A considered structure
A broad letter base, supporting backboard or complete cut-out shape can help the display work. We design the structure for the setting.

SignAgain
- Composition
- Board made from used banners and cutting waste. The base consists of 100% recycled banner feedstock: PVC and polyester.
- Suitable use
- For letters with a recycled character, custom printing or contours. An existing material stream gains a visible new role.
A visible second life
A bespoke print can define the face while the recycled texture remains visible on edges and unprinted areas.
Beyond lettering
Pictograms, large logo elements and a coordinated series of wall objects are also possible. We match contours and fixings to the board.

Recycled design plastic
- Composition
- Design boards made from plastic waste, such as the Smile Plastics collections. The base consists of 100% recycled plastic; polymer and texture vary by collection.
- Suitable use
- For distinctive logos, desk lettering and wall messages. Speckles, colour fragments and marble-like patterns give each cut-out its own character.
Pattern throughout
Choose fine speckles, large colour fragments or marble-like patterns. The cut determines which part of each unique sheet becomes your letter.
Three material families
Smile Plastics, Plasticiet and GOGO Plastics offer different waste streams and designs. Colour, texture, processing and available thickness guide the choice.
Machining and installation
We match lettering and cut-outs to the polymer. For HDPE in particular, mechanical fixings are usually appropriate; bonding requires specific assessment.

PET felt
- Composition
- Recycled PET fibres form a soft felt board. The 9 mm version described uses a fully recycled fibre base.
- Suitable use
- For logos, lettering and patterns with a soft, matt appearance. A distinctive choice for workspace and reception walls.
Texture in your brand colours
Soft felt edges make crisp lettering feel welcoming. Combine colours, individual shapes and a wall composition for a recognisable result.

MDF with real wood veneer
- Composition
- An MDF wood-fibre core faced with American walnut or European oak veneer. Real wood gives the face its grain, colour and character.
- Suitable use
- For refined interior lettering and logos. Choose the dark warmth of walnut or the lighter, lively appearance of oak.
Walnut or oak
American walnut brings depth and warm dark grain. European oak offers a lighter, lively appearance. Samples help you compare both with the rest of the interior.

Grain direction, visible edges and finishing define the look. We help create a considered grain pattern across the logo.

Recycled acrylic
- Composition
- Cast PMMA made from recycled pre- and post-consumer acrylic. For this page we select recycled versions, including Green Cast collections.
- Suitable use
- For crisp coloured lettering, transparent effects and gloss or satin logos. We coordinate colour, thickness and finish with your design.

Recycled plastic as an interior statement.
From subtle terrazzo effects to bold colour fragments. The pattern is part of the sheet and continues through the machined edge, bringing lettering, logos and interiors together.
Smile Plastics · colour and depth
PET, HIPS or HDPE, depending on the collection. Explore colourful PET fragments or a marbled HDPE pattern. Repeat the material in lettering and a reception front for a coherent interior.
Plasticiet · terrazzo from Rotterdam
Recycled design sheets based on polymers including polystyrene and polycarbonate. Ivory and Rhinestone show how recovered fragments create a distinctive pattern. A calm wall helps the lettering stand out.
GOGO Plastics · your colour story
Recycled HDPE with opportunities for a bespoke colour combination. An interesting option when the material itself defines a brand object. We review samples and discuss the variation you want.

From material selection to its next destination.
Design to keep
A lasting logo and suitable material thickness help your lettering stay useful for longer. We plan contours efficiently on the sheet.
Plan the installation
Where the surface allows, we choose fixings that let the letters or backboard be carefully removed later.
Give the material another role
Keep suitable letters for another location. For processing, we separate wood, cardboard and plastics where possible and agree the collection route.

Frequently asked questions
Which sustainable materials can I choose?
Plywood, Re-board, SignAgain, recycled design plastic, PET felt, veneered MDF and recycled acrylic. Each gives your logo its own character, from natural and soft to colourful and distinctive.
What makes wood and veneer interesting choices?
Wood adds warmth and recognisable grain. The plywood version described uses PEFC-certified poplar. MDF with American walnut or European oak combines a stable core with a thin real wood face; we specify the chosen board and finish.
Are the acrylic letters on this page recycled?
Yes. For this collection we select recycled acrylic versions, including Green Cast made from 100% recycled PMMA. Transparent and opaque colours, gloss and satin are possible, depending on the colour and thickness.
How do SignAgain and design plastic differ?
SignAgain uses old banners and cutting waste as board feedstock. Recycled design plastic, such as Smile Plastics, turns other plastic waste streams into decorative board with its own pattern. Both give existing feedstocks another role, with different appearances.
Can you make my own logo or typeface?
Yes. We translate your vector artwork into individual letters or a logo. We assess stroke width, small details and material strength to keep the design attractive and practical to produce. Cut-outs in a panel are also possible.
How is the lettering installed?
Directly on the wall, on stand-offs or on a backboard. An installation template helps with accurate spacing. We match fixings to the weight and surface and consider future removal.
Which option suits my space?
Wood and veneer suit a warm appearance, PET felt a soft matt look and acrylic crisp colours. Re-board is useful for lightweight temporary indoor displays. Share your location and brief; we also check any fire requirements and advise on a suitable material.
